Late April 2009 Gallery

Featuring:  Dr. Paul Sterry and Andrew Merrick.

All images copyright of Paul Sterry unless stated otherwise

Paul and Andrew stayed On Lotan for 10 days during the second half of April. Besides targeting Levant Sparrowhawks, Andrew and Paul arrived in the midst of a nice wave of migrants and got some really nice images. We are happy to post a selection of pictures taken by the guys.

Most of these images were taken within 10 KM of the guy's room at Lotan. Bee Eaters showed well near Yotvata, feeding on honey bees and the Levants came down to drink at Lotan's new sewage and constructed wetland.

This is the first of a series of galleries we will present in the upcoming months. All images truly show just how colorful spring migration in the desert can be.

Enjoy the images.
